You can expect our staff to adhere to the following service standards:
1. WD will contact a client within 12 business days (90% of the time) following a preliminary review of a written funding request.
2. WD will provide a funding decision to a client within 90 business days (90% of the time) of receiving a complete funding proposal. If the 90-day standard will not be met on a project, the client will be contacted on the delay.
3. WD will provide a payment claims instruction package to the client within 10 business days (95% of the time) of receiving an accepted Letter of Offer from the client.
4. WD will issue a claim payment cheque within 15 business days (95% of the time) of receiving a complete claim from the client, including all of the required claim information.
5. In accordance with the Access to Information Act, WD will, within 30 calendar days of receiving a complete written request, provide written notice to the requestor stating whether or not access to the requested records will be provided or if additional information is required. If access is to be given, the records, or appropriate part of them, will be provided within 30 calendar days unless an extension is required, as provided for under the Act.
6. In accordance with the Privacy Act, WD will, within 30 calendar days of receipt of a complete written request, provide written notice to the requestor concerning excluded information, method of access, time extensions or exemptions. When WD requires more than the initial 30-day period, the notice must inform the requestor of the length of the extension and their right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner about the extension.
7. WD will provide to the Minister responses to Ministerial correspondence within 15 business days. WD will provide responses to letters to the department within 15 business days.
8. WD will reply to inquiries received through the departmental website within 3 business days for a routine response, and 6 business days if a more complex response is required.
