Francophone Economic Development Organizations in Alberta

Francophone Economic Development Organizations (FEDOs) provide business services to Francophones, including training, access to capital, information services, networking and marketing.

The Conseil de développement économique de l'Alberta is the driving force behind economic development in Alberta’s bilingual communities.  It stimulates economic development by promoting the value of bilingualism to entrepreneurial and business success.

The Conseil de développement économique de l'Alberta works in co-operation with bilingual communities and community development corporations to launch major economic development projects.  It helps entrepreneurs and small businesses with services and programs including:

  • Advisory services for young entrepreneurs
  • Professional business training
  • Investment funds to provide access to risk capital
  • Free publicity at Conseil events and reduced rates for advertising
  • Access to group insurance rates
  • Resource centre and access to free Internet
  • Business networking
  • Business advisory services for tourism and economic development initiatives
