Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification

The Honourable Lynne Yelich was first elected to the House of Commons in 2000 and was re-elected in 2004, 2006, and 2008.  On October 30, 2008, Mrs. Yelich was appointed Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Since then, Mrs. Yelich has worked in partnership with western Canadian businesses and communities on many fronts, including economic growth, business development, and diversification.

Prior to her work as Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, Mrs. Yelich served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Canada.

Mrs. Yelich currently resides in Kenaston, Saskatchewan. She is married to Matt and they have two children.
